The Floor Ball

The Core Restore method for non-invasive pelvic floor release.

Two minutes a day. Fully clothed. At home. Designed for the pelvic floor that’s forgotten how to let go.

You have been told to do your Kegels. To squeeze, lift, strengthen.

But here is what often gets missed: a lot of pelvic floors are not weak. They are tight. Overactive. Stuck in a permanent brace they cannot release on their own. And when a floor is already gripping, squeezing it harder only adds fuel to the fire.

A tight floor can show up as pain, urgency, leaking, painful sex, constipation or a constant low-level sense of holding. The fix is not more effort. It is teaching the muscle how to switch off.

That is what the Floor Ball is for.

What is it?

A simple, body-safe silicone ball designed for one job: helping an overactive pelvic floor release.

You sit on it. You breathe. Your body does the rest. No internal devices, no complicated routine, no hour of your day. Just consistent, intelligent input that works with your breath, not against it.

Is this you?

The Floor Ball is designed for signs of an overactive (hypertonic) pelvic floor. You may benefit if you experience:

  • Painful penetration
  • Pelvic or tailbone pain
  • Urinary urgency or frequency
  • Difficulty fully emptying your bladder
  • Constipation or straining
  • A constant sense of pelvic tension
  • Lower back or hip tightness linked to pelvic pain
  • An inability to fully relax after a contraction

Important: tight muscles can still test weak, and weak muscles can still feel tight. If you are not sure which one you are, a pelvic floor assessment will tell you. Our team is a phone call away on 0493 115 262.

How it works

Two minutes does not sound like much. Here is why it is enough.

1. Myofascial release Your pelvic floor is muscle wrapped in fascia, the connective tissue that can stiffen with stress, over-bracing and long hours of sitting. Gentle, sustained pressure gives that tissue a low-load signal to soften and adapt over time. You control the depth, the duration and the exact spot.

2. Better circulation Sitting on the ball gently compresses the tissue. When you release, blood flow rushes back in. That fresh circulation delivers oxygen, supports recovery and eases the feeling of tightness. For a lot of people this is the first “ahh” moment.

3. Nervous system down-regulation A chronically tight floor is often a protective floor. It stays switched on because your nervous system thinks it needs to guard. Slow, controlled pressure sends a different message: you are safe. That helps dial down the fight-or-flight response and lets the muscle finally stand down.

Small input. Big shift. Consistency beats intensity.

How do I use it?

  1. Sit on a chair and position the Floor Ball between your sit bones, in the perineal region.
  2. Let your body weight settle naturally.
  3. Inhale slowly through your nose.
  4. As you exhale, imagine the pelvic floor widening and softening.
  5. Stay for 60 to 90 seconds.

That is enough to begin. Every Floor Ball comes with our full 4-week release protocol and a 10-minute pelvic floor stretch class to guide you from awareness to lasting balance.

What is normal: mild pressure, a spreading or warm sensation, gradual softening, a sense of letting go, slight tenderness that eases within 24 hours.

What is not: stabbing pain, increased heaviness, worsening leakage, pain lasting beyond 24 hours, or tingling down the legs. If you feel any of these, stop.

Hot Tip: You can also lay a folded towel or light blanket over the ball to soften the pressure.

Who should wait?

Please do not use the Floor Ball if you are pregnant (unless cleared by your clinician), less than 6 weeks postpartum, have an active pelvic infection, unexplained vaginal bleeding, recent pelvic surgery without clearance, worsening prolapse symptoms, or severe pain with light pressure.

Release work should feel like controlled pressure, never sharp pain.

The Floor Ball is Phase One. Once symptoms settle and relaxation improves, the next step is rebuilding coordinated strength so the change lasts. Our clinics across Sydney, Wollongong and Newcastle can take you the rest of the way.

Each ball is sent with a guide on how to use it, links to video stretches & more. You also have ongoing support with the team in clinic available on 0493 115 262.

We do! We’re currently stocked at:
